The Kodak Professional Portra 800 is a high-speed daylight-balanced color negative film optimized for use in difficult lighting conditions. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 800/30° along with a remarkable underexposure latitude to effectively reach ISO 1600 with maintained quality and increased detail in highlights and shadows. The vivid color saturation and overall low contrast contribute to pleasing skin tones and neutral color accuracy, and an optimized T-GRAIN emulsion for microstructure produces fine grain with high sharpness and edge acutance. Kodak's patented advanced development accelerators and antenna dye sensitization also offer improved scanning and enlarging performance. Portra 800 is well-suited for photographing moving subjects and working in low-light conditions, maintaining true color reproduction.
