This B+W 77mm MRC Nano Master #806 ND1.8 filter is a precisely crafted neutral density filter that reduces exposure by 6 stops for finer control over exposure settings. By uniformly increasing the density across the image area, the depth of field can be reduced to help isolate the subject of the image, even in bright lighting conditions. Additionally, the shutter speed can be reduced to increase image blur and enhance the sense of motion, or to soften the appearance of running water.

All filters in the new Master filter line are equipped with the exclusive premium Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) nano technology. This high-quality broadband coating is applied on both sides and enhances the optical imaging properties, allowing for uniform and increased transmittance across the entire light spectrum, with minimal physically induced remaining reflection. The integral nano protection on the filter glass also ensures greater scratch resistance and extremely quick and easy cleaning, providing a long filter life. The thin filter ring design is compatible with wide-angle lenses with a width equivalent to a 17mm full-frame lens. The top knurling is redesigned to improve grip.
