Digital audio processing for high-quality sound

Sony's advanced digital audio processing technology ensures high-quality sound with improved transient response performance. A new digital audio interface [optional] allows for direct digital sound recording with numerous professional camcorders and interchangeable lens Alpha cameras from Sony through the SMAD-P5 multi-interface shoe adapter, bypassing A/D and D/A conversion to further ensure excellent sound quality.

Perfect camcorder integration

Integration with compatible Sony camcorders* (requires SMAD-P5 multi-interface shoe adapter) allows for the display of audio information, such as RF level meter, audio mute status, and transmitter low battery alert in the camera's viewfinder. Through the SMAD-P5, audio signals are transmitted from the receiver to the camera without the need for a cable connection. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, with synchronized on/off between the camera and receiver for more efficient power management.

Quick and easy frequency setup

Sony's exclusive simple NFC SYNC function allows for intuitive and fast secure channel setup between the transmitter and receiver.
