40 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, X-Processor 5
The 40.2 MP high-resolution X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor features an enhanced image processing algorithm that increases resolution without compromising the signal-to-noise ratio, delivering astonishing image quality. This sensor has an improved pixel structure, allowing it to receive light more efficiently. Alongside the newly designed sensor is a new engine, the X-Processor 5, which uses 64-bit processing to achieve speeds 3 times faster for video and photography tasks. The combination of this high-resolution sensor and processor achieves remarkably fast operation, a wide dynamic range, and incredible photographic quality, even at higher ISO sensitivities.

Powerful video capabilities
The powerful video function offered by the combination of sensor and processor means that movies can be recorded internally at up to 6.2K at 30p in 10-bit color, along with a 4K HQ mode that oversamples 6.2K images for superior 4K output. Higher frame rate videos are also available, at 4K 60p or FHD 240p.

In-body image stabilization, enhanced autofocus
The improved combination of sensor and processor allows the X100VI to be the first in the series to feature in-body image stabilization. The five-axis sensor-shift IBIS helps minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to six stops. The enhanced processing also benefits autofocus performance, producing a faster and smarter hybrid focusing system that utilizes 425 phase-detection points. Backed by deep learning, an adaptive AI algorithm means this focusing system is better suited to automatically detect and track a variety of subject types, ensuring you never miss the magical moment.

Built for speed, built for the street
To further benefit urban photographers, the X100VI is ready for action, no matter how fast the subject is moving. A maximum electronic shutter speed of 1/180,000 s and a maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/4000 s will stop any subject in its tracks. Keep your finger pressed and the X100VI captures images at a speed of up to 20 fps with the electronic shutter with a 1.29x crop and at 11 fps with the mechanical shutter.

Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens
Updated in the fifth generation, the Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens of the camera features a revised optical design that includes two aspherical elements to enhance sharpness and clarity by reducing spherical aberrations and distortion. With a full-frame equivalent of 35mm, the lens's bright f/2 design supports low-light conditions and offers a shallow depth of field. When there is ample light, the built-in 4-stop ND filter can also be used for greater exposure control and to work better with a shallow depth of field. While the lens has a fixed focal length, the X100VI integrates digital teleconverter settings of 1.4x and 2x to simulate the look of working with longer focal lengths of 49mm and 70mm, respectively.

Advanced hybrid visor
The types of optical and electronic viewfinders are incorporated into the exclusive advanced hybrid viewfinder, allowing you to choose between the simplicity and familiarity of an OVF, as well as the versatility of an EVF. The optical viewfinder provides a clear and realistic view of the scene to facilitate composition and subject tracking. Its improved design incorporates an electronic rangefinder feature, which mimics the functionality of a mechanical rangefinder while overlaying electronic viewfinder information on top of the optical viewfinder for comparative manual focus control.

Film simulation modes
The film simulation modes allow you to replicate the look and feel of various types of film from FUJIFILM. The X100VI features the latest recipe of FUJIFILM, REALA ACE, and also includes 19 other modes, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, PRO Neg.Std, PRO Neg. Hi, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Eterna Cinema, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Acros + Ye Filter, Acros + R Filter, Acros + G Filter, Black & White, Black & White + Ye Filter, Black & White + R Filter, Black & White + G Filter, and Sepia.
In addition to simulating specific film types, a grain effect mode is also available to replicate the look of old film photos with an organic texture appearance, which is especially noticeable when printing. The Color Chrome and Color Chrome Blue effects are also available to deepen the color, tonal response, and gradation with higher saturation colors.

Design

• The 3.0" tilting LCD screen with 1.62 million dots features a touchscreen design for intuitive operation and playback.

• Durable design can be made weather-resistant when combined with the optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the optional weather-sealing protection ring.

• The top plate incorporates a series of dials and locking levers for quick and intuitive control of exposure settings, including dials for shutter speed and exposure compensation.

• The front and rear control dials integrate a push function to facilitate use and selection of settings.

• The rear joystick is available for intuitively selecting and changing the AF points, as well as for navigating the menu and playing back images.

• The built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allows for wireless image sharing with a mobile device or for using the device to remotely control the camera.

• A single SD memory card slot supports up to the UHS-I standard.

• The included NP-W126S battery provides approximately 310 frames per charge when working with the EVF or 450 frames per charge when working with the OVF.
