Inspired by street photographers who are in their element on asphalt pavement, the metallic gray body has a unique texture created through complex and repeated painting processes. It is smooth yet allows for an excellent grip, a combination of design and functionality.

Special Features - Urban Edition
A new exposure mode, "Snap Distance Priority Mode," has been installed. By setting the snapshot distance and depth of field (DOF) in advance, you can instantly retrieve the settings. DOF3, in particular, sets the f-stop so that the depth of field is close to the panoramic focus, allowing you to enjoy faster shooting. "Auto-area AF (Center)" has been added to Focus. The auto-area AF works around the center of the frame (9 areas) instead of the entire frame. This prevents the camera from focusing on unwanted areas, like the ground in front of you, allowing you greater control over your street snapshots. The urban edition features a special shutdown graphic with a street background and a special logo.

High Quality, High Resolution
The optimal positioning of a high refractive and low dispersion glass element and a glass-molded element allows the lens to deliver clear and sharp images while minimizing distortion and chromatic aberration. It also minimizes the generation of flare and ghost images when shooting against backlight. The GR IIIx Urban Edition incorporates a large APS-C CMOS image sensor and a newly developed image engine 6. With approximately 24.24 effective megapixels, this image sensor ensures super high-resolution images rich in gradations. It also supports 14-bit multitone RAW image recording.

The Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition is designed to be extremely compact and functional, providing exceptional portability. It offers user-friendly features such as a short startup time of approximately 0.8 seconds, a control dial conveniently located next to the four-way controller, and effortless touchscreen operation, to enhance operability and allow users to quickly react to unique shutter opportunities in life. Its outer frame is made of highly rigid magnesium alloy to enhance reliability and durability.
