This filter allows the user to produce soft and smooth images with diffused highlight areas, as well as clear and sharply focused images.

The Ricoh GR III X HDF comes equipped with a built-in HDF (high-light diffusion filter). This gives you the option to capture soft, smooth images that emphasize highlights and give the images a nostalgic film look.

Are you looking for sharper and higher contrast images? No problem. The filter can be easily disabled so you can effortlessly switch between two completely different visual modes.

But that's not all.
The GR III X HDF features depth of field priority, eye and face detection, new shooting formats (4:3 and 16:9), image rotation in 0.1-degree increments, and automatic file size reduction for WiFi transmission.

A different perspective
The GR III X HDF features a 26.1 mm F2.8 lens that provides the user with a focal length corresponding to the angle of view of the human eye, thus offering a natural shooting perspective. The fast maximum aperture of F2.8 of this compact camera can produce clean and sharp photos, even in low light. A minimum focusing distance of 6 cm also allows for some macro capabilities with a natural bokeh effect.

The GR III HDF weighs 257 g* and measures only 109.4 x 61.9 x 33.2 mm, making it a perfect camera for travel and street photography. The camera is capable of a quick startup of 0.8 seconds, while the improved operability provided by the control dial and touchscreen ensures that you are always ready to capture that spontaneous moment.

Perfect for low light conditions
The GR III HDF features a three-axis vibration reduction mechanism that offers 4 stops of stabilization. This helps when shooting without a tripod and/or in low-light situations. Contributing to this is an ISO range of up to 102400 ISO and the F2.8 aperture of the lens, which provides immense flexibility in low-light environments. Additionally, the minimization of flare and ghosting in images when shooting backlit, thanks to high-refractive and low-dispersion glass elements, allows it to perform well both in studios and on sunny days.

Hybrid AF system
The GR III HDF combines phase detection autofocus and contrast detection to create a process with high-speed recognition and precise focus.

High-definition LCD monitor
The GR III HDF features a 3" high-definition LCD monitor with approximately 1.037.000 Touchscreen-enabled points to facilitate control and configuration.

High-quality image and HD video
The Ricoh GR III HDF is capable of recording in Full HD (1920x1080 at 60p/30p/24p) and producing high-resolution images, with a 24.24 MP APS-C CMOS image sensor. The color grading, saturation, contrast, and more of the image can be further adjusted through an image control function.
