Pocket-sized 360° video

With an improved 1/2" sensor and a larger touchscreen, the Insta360 X3 360° camera is capable of capturing high-definition 360° videos and single-lens footage with a portable action camera. The X3 offers an action-ready design with AI-powered software for an intuitive approach to creating dynamic content in any environment. Its IPX8 robust design is waterproof up to 33 feet and features a built-in rechargeable 1800 mAh battery for extended use.

5.7K 360° video, 4K single lens mode

The X3's dual 360° lenses can capture videos up to 5.7K and photos at 72MP with ease. You can switch to single lens capture and record videos in 4K at up to 30 fps. For 170° shots with an ultra-wide angle, activate MaxView mode with a resolution of 2.7K.

AI-driven reframing

AI reframing tools automatically reframe your 360° shot while switching between different capture modes. The "Me" mode creates the effect of an invisible selfie stick and records videos up to 1080p at 30 and 60 fps. The effect is equivalent to a 5.7K reframing and supports aspect ratios of 16:9 and 9:16. This AI interface eliminates the need to reframe your footage in post-production while capturing aerial angles and third-person perspectives, regardless of the selfie stick's setup.

Audio algorithm updates

The X3 can capture stereo audio with reduced wind noise and 360° enhancement. With four built-in microphones and an improved audio algorithm, the X3 records more natural and balanced audio than its predecessor. It also allows you to use Voice Control 2.0 to change settings when the camera is mounted out of your reach on a selfie stick or head strap.

Ultra-smooth and stabilized images

The X3 ensures that your footage remains stabilized thanks to its 6-axis gyroscope and FlowState stabilization technology. The 360° active HDR mode is specifically designed for action sports like ziplining and mountain biking, as it keeps your video stable while moving and preserves details in highlights and shadows for more vibrant footage. Horizon lock keeps the horizontal plane of your video consistent and allows the camera to rotate freely while maintaining the horizon level.

New recording modes

  • Record 360° time-lapse videos with up to 8K resolution and real-time slow motion with 4K resolution at 120 fps.

  • The pre-recording mode helps anticipate the action before it happens, as it starts recording between 15 and 30 seconds before the shutter is pressed. This ensures you capture the exact moment when you catch the biggest fish of the day or surf the best wave. When enabled, the camera continuously records audio and video during the interval you choose, but only saves it to your SD card when the shutter is pressed.

  • Loop recording continuously captures videos while simultaneously saving each minute of recording in separate files. This saves space on the memory card and can turn the X3 into a dashcam.

Enhanced controls and monitoring

  • A larger 2.29" touchscreen on the back of the camera provides a clear view of the images while recording them. Four operation buttons with vibration feedback switch between recording modes for quick control.

  • Wi-Fi technology that is 50% faster and improved Bluetooth 5.0 provide quicker file transfers compared to the previous model for faster editing with the iOS/Android app.

AI editing and animation of photographs

If you use the Insta360 app with your smartphone, you can easily edit clips for social media with new effects and modes. A regularly updated database of creative effects offers easy-to-use templates, such as Nose Mode, Sky Swap, and Street Lapse. Have the app turn your 360° photos into animated videos with Photo Animator, which uses AI facial recognition and preset effects.
