The 40.2 MP high-resolution sensor features an improved image processing algorithm to enhance image resolution without compromising the S/N level, producing stunning image quality. It also has an improved pixel structure to efficiently attract a greater amount of light, allowing the use of ISO125 as a standard sensitivity instead of an extended option. This is especially beneficial during daytime outdoor shooting or to take advantage of the large aperture to produce bokeh.

With the incorporation of the new sensor, it is possible to internally record 8K videos at 30P in 10-bit 4:2:2 color. The X-H2 has a heat dissipation design identical to the X-H2S, allowing for 8K/30P video recording for approximately 160 minutes, making 8K video a practical option. Additionally, it supports 8K oversampling to produce high-quality 4K video, making the most of the high-resolution sensor to record video with superior image resolution.
The X-H2 is compatible with three Apple ProRes codecs: ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 LT. When recording in ProRes, the X-H2 also supports proxy recording as ProRes 422 Proxy. This reduces the editing workload of 8K video and streamlines the overall workflow from shooting to post-production.

The new Fujifilm X-H2 camera is the first in the X series that allows us to perform high-resolution photography through pixel shift with multi-shot. The camera uses the IBIS mechanism to shift the image sensor with high precision for automatic shooting, capturing 20 frames with a single shutter release. The exclusive Pixel Shift Combiner software processes the captured frames to generate an image containing 160 million pixels, perfect for commercial photography and digital archives. The X-H2 is compatible with the HEIF image format, which offers 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than standard JPEG files, further enhancing Fujifilm's reputation for delivering high-quality images directly from the camera.

Not only is it exquisite as a photographic camera, but its features for recording content, though not reaching those of its companion, the X-H2S, are equally very good. Its ability to record internally up to 8K at 30 fps in 10-bit 4:2:2 color offers excellent quality, and by using Fujifilm's original heat sink, we can achieve 160 minutes of recording. 5-axis image stabilizer
The new X-H2 camera from Fujifilm's X universe features an image stabilizer built into the camera body. A 5-axis stabilizer provides stabilization of up to 7 CIPA stops. This capability gives users the freedom to shoot handheld in conditions that would have previously required a tripod or support with other models. Additionally, the in-body image stabilization function allows the image sensor to move with high precision, making it possible to incorporate pixel-shift multi-shot capability for the previously mentioned high-resolution function.
