Tether Tools Active extension cable TetherPro USB 2.0 (16 ', orange)

Tether Tools' 16' orange TetherPro USB 2.0 active extension cable allows longer anchor distances without worrying about signal errors or corrupt data transfers. With this cable, signals and data transfers in and out of the cable are buffered to ensure consistent signal quality, meeting USB's highest electrical and timing specifications.

Passive cables longer than 16 '(4.88 m) in length, for data transmission purposes, may cause signal or noise errors and are not recommended. Up to four active USB extensions and one 15 '(4.57 m) passive USB can be daisy-chained before detecting any drop in signal or quality.

The configuration is simple, simply plug the male end of the cable into the computer and then plug the camera or other USB cable from the device into the female end of this cable so that the repeater is closer to the device and not the computer.

Abandonment of signals can be avoided by serially connecting up to four active USB extensions and a 15 '(4.57 m) passive USB.

Signals and data transfers in and out of the cable are buffered to ensure consistent signal quality, meeting USB's highest electrical and timing specifications.
