Canon 10x42 L IS WP Binocular With Image Stabilizer

The 10x42L IS WP binoculars are Canon's first engraved with the hallowed red ring of the L-Series: a brand hitherto reserved for Canon's best professional lenses; the pinnacle of Canon's 60 years of experience in designing and manufacturing precision optics;
increasing the standards of optical performance, the binoculars include 2 lens elements with glasses and Ultra Low Dispersion (UD) on each side; developed by Canon, these elements are effective in eliminating chromatic aberrations - arc-like distortion similar to an arc - and are effective in eliminating chromatic aberrations.

Stand Firm

To eliminate vibrations caused by freehand sighting, on moving vehicles or boats, the 10x42L IS WP binoculars include Canon's Varied Angle Prism (VAP) Image Stabilizer (IS). Tiny gyroscopes detect the lightest movements, while a microprocessor controls a special prism to correct the refractive angle of incoming light.

Designed to survive the harshest outdoor conditions, the 10x42L IS WP binoculars are completely waterproof. The design incorporates a distinctive comfortable grip for wet conditions, and a robust rubber coating to withstand all your adventures.

Anti-fog

To prevent fogging in the target's internal elements caused by moisture ingress, all exterior surfaces are treated with a special metal coating. This works with special O-rings and the use of waterproof adhesives at all external contact points to prevent water molecules from penetrating the exterior casing.

Precision optics

All lens surface elements are treated with Canon's Super Spectra coatings, ensuring vivid images with high contrast and precise colour balance by eliminating unwanted internal reflections caused by 'ghosts' (secondary images) and 'flashes' (extremely large 4.2mm exit pupil allows a bright field of view in very low light conditions.

Comfortable

Every aspect of the 10x42L IS WP binoculars is designed for the comfort of vision. 65° wide viewing angle allows you to see a large part of the horizon in vision, while the 16mm Long Distance Eyepiece minimizes vignetting (or tunnel effect) that can affect spectacle wearers. A correction lock prevents unintentional dioptre corrections, and extendable eyepieces can be rotated for a custom fit.
