The Hadley Small Pro is the new sibling bag of the ever-popular 'Hadley Small': internally it is exactly the same size, but with some additional features that should make it perfect for many demanding professional photographers and enthusiasts.

The first of these features is a carrying handle on the top.
The handle chosen by Billingham has a leather underside for added comfort when carrying it, especially useful if you want to use the bag as a mini briefcase for extended periods after removing the adjustable shoulder strap (included).

The second addition is a document pocket on the back of the bag.
It has a waterproof zipper for extra protection in case of rain. Also, on the back, Billingham added a luggage trolley strap so you can slide the bag over the handle of a wheeled suitcase for easy travel through the airport.

Of course, Billingham made sure to retain the best parts of the original 'Hadley Small'.
For impact protection, the bag features the same tested padded lining (included) as the current 'Hadley Small' design. It is made of dense "closed-cell" foam covered with fabric and provides impact protection on all six sides, including the lid.

Inside the insert, there are two removable vertical dividers and two removable padded flaps for stacking lenses; these dividers are secured inside with Velcro®. The insert is attached to the bag with a single strong snap button; remove the insert, and the bag transforms from a camera bag into an elegant and compact messenger bag.

Like all Billingham camera bags, the exterior is made from 3-layer storm-proof 'Stormblock' material.
Two layers of fabric joined together with an intermediate layer of butyl rubber. The Stormblock fabric never needs "re-waterproofing" because the butyl layer is permanently bonded to the fabric core. The top flap of the bag is "sculpted" over the opening of the main compartment so that not even torrential rain can get in if it's closed.

The front closure straps are designed around the 'Quick Release System'.
To open the bag, slide the leather straps from the brass 'balls' at the top of the strap; with a little practice, you'll soon be able to open the bag with one hand. The buckles midway on the closure straps are used solely to adjust the fit of the top flap over the main opening and pockets; they are not necessary for opening the bag. Billingham made these straps slightly narrower compared to the Hadley Pro (and the old Hadley Small) to enhance the bag's aesthetics. The two front pockets of the bag are equipped with a secondary stud on the outer top corner: open this stud to create additional space or close it to form a handy pen holder.

The Hadley Small Pro is small on the outside but larger than you would expect on the inside.
For example, it can hold 2 rangefinder cameras (e.g., Leica M10 and M9, each with built-in lenses), a premium mirrorless camera (CSC) (Fujifilm X-Pro2, Lumix GH5, or Olympus OM-D E-M1) with 2 or 3 small to medium-sized lens cameras, or even a medium-sized DSLR without a battery grip (for example, Canon 5D Mk4 with 24-70mm f2.8 attached and a 24-105mm lens in the bag as well) because the bag can be slightly tilted at the top to accommodate larger equipment. If you need additional capacity, you can add one or two AVEA 7 end pockets on the durable leather side panels.
