The Shimoda Designs Explore v2 35 military green camera backpack is the largest model in their flagship line of camera backpacks.

This versatile and multi-purpose bag can adapt to the combined needs of the on-the-go photographer, multimedia creator, hiker, or world adventure traveler. To enhance the ability to organize the contents of this bag, optional core units are available to store camera, video, audio, and digital media equipment, and they are installed in the pack to create a customized carrying solution that can be reconfigured as needed. Beyond the bag's functionality features, Shimoda redesigned the harness system to be highly customizable for any user, including the ability to exchange the backpack straps for optional ones for an even more personalized comfortable fit.

• Each shoulder strap has a quick-access pocket for commonly accessed items: the left side has an expandable sleeve that can securely accommodate snacks, water bottles, sunscreen, and two-way radios; and the right side features a zippered pocket for a mobile phone.

How is it done?

• Rear and side access options: the side opening is ideal for quick access under the arm without completely removing the backpack, and the anti-theft rear opening allows wide and unobstructed access to most of your gear for less urgent shooting situations.

• Lightweight and wear-resistant ripstop nylon shell treated with a highly water-resistant and wear-resistant Carbonate Ether polyurethane coating.

• YKK water-resistant locking zippers enhance the security and protection of your valuable equipment.

• The independent padded base features a slightly padded panel to provide additional protection when placing the backpack on the ground and allowing it to stand without any assistance.

• The base panel also features two ventilation holes to limit any possible condensation buildup within the base area.

• The lightweight rain cover provides an additional layer of protection in wet conditions and can be stored in its own bag for easy storage.

How's it going?

• The practical side handle allows you to carry it like a conventional bag for easy handling at checkpoints and on airplanes, or use it as a trolley strap for the luggage handle.

• The handles on the top and base make picking up the backpack easier and safer.

• It can be carried using the built-in handle along its top or by its padded shoulder straps, which can be adjusted up or down for a better fit.

• The removable padded EVA foam belt transfers the weight to the hips for added comfort with a mesh sleeve for quickly storing trash and a gear loop for carabiners, ice axes, and even small tripods.

• The adjustable sternum strap limits involuntary movements around the user.

Improved ventilated harness system

• The "Aired-out" system allows air to flow through the perforated mesh and the EVA foam cushioning, making the harness feel comfortable and cool on the torso.

• The shape and fit of the shoulder strap that distributes the weight help to support the load: instead of the weight pulling backward, as with most common camera backpack harnesses, the straps distribute the weight across the chest area.
