INSTA360 X4 8K

Enter the world of 360° cinematic video with the compact Insta360 X4 360° 8K camera, capable of capturing 8K30 360° video in dual-lens or single-lens modes, all in a portable action camera. The X4 offers an action-ready design with AI-powered software for an intuitive approach to create dynamic content in any environment, as well as removable lens protectors, "Bullet Time" capture up to 5K120, and 11K time-lapse. The X4 also has an updated robust design, is natively waterproof up to 33', and features an improved 2290 mAh rechargeable battery for extended runtime.

The X4 features an ultra-sharp 8K resolution, which has 78% more pixels than 5.7K for more detail and greater clarity, making the reframed video comparable to standard camera images for easier matching edits. Since the footage is captured with high-quality H.265 compression, the 8K files are small enough to be edited with the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.

NOTE: Recording in 8K consumes more energy than lower resolutions. Record in 8K only in bright daylight conditions; it is recommended to reduce the capture resolution when shooting in low light.

The X4 supports video up to 5.7K60 for smooth shots at ultra-high resolution. The camera also supports captures up to 4K100 for super slow-motion images. It also features Me mode, which records flat videos with a 170° field of view, perfect for POV videos with an invisible selfie stick. Me mode supports slow-motion modes up to 4K30 and 2.7K120 with external stitching. When in 2.7K30 mode, the X4 supports in-camera stitching with MP4 files ready to share.

The X4 uses AI PureShot to process 72 MP photos in the camera, providing high-quality images ready to share with low noise and high-quality color.

Field of view of MegaView

MegaView is a new field of view (FOV) option in the Studio app/software that processes 360° video with less edge distortion for overall higher image quality. MegaView supports multiple aspect ratios, including 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, and 2.35:1.

2 cameras in 1 with single lens mode 4K60

The X4 camera functions as a wide-angle action camera when filming with a single lens. This feature has been updated in the X4 compared to previous models to support 4K60, and it supports a field of view of up to 170°.
NOTE: 4K60 is not suitable for low light conditions.

Invisible selfie stick for third-person views

When the X4 is connected to a selfie stick, the stick disappears in its editing, allowing you to capture aerial angles and third-person perspectives that are possible to achieve without a second operator.

Insta360 mobile application

The Insta360 mobile app allows you to easily edit 360° images.

Quick Edit: Choose from several reframing methods, such as physically moving your phone, swiping the screen, using the new virtual joystick, or pressing and holding to activate the updated Deep Track 3.0 for even smoother footage.

AI Edit: The simple editing for beginner users makes framing and editing easier.

Pro Mode: For a practical approach, you can manually add keyframes and make advanced edits using the Pro tab.

Shot Lab: A collection of archive effects makes editing easier.
Motion ND: Apply Motion ND filters without the need for real filters to achieve the Motion ND effect.

Background app download: download images from the camera while the Insta360 app runs quietly in the background, leaving your phone free for other tasks.

AI gesture control

You can now use hand gestures to start/stop recording or take a photo, which is perfect for group photos, noisy locations, mounted on a selfie stick, when wearing thick gloves, or simply not disturbing others in the area with sound like voice control.

5.7K120 Bullet time

Get the "Bullet Time" slow-motion video (a reference to The Matrix) using the 5.7K120 Bullet Time mode on the X4. This mode allows you to achieve a cinematic slow-motion look by using higher frame rates and resolutions.

11K Time-Lapse and 8K Time Shift

Time-lapse 11K: The 360° time-lapse video is now available on the X4 in 11K, capturing a panoramic view over time from a stationary position.
8K TimeShift: Users can record a creative video in an easy-to-use mode with a selfie stick while walking.
