The Sigma USB dock works in conjunction with the Sigma Optimization Pro software to connect a photographer's lens to your personal computer to update firmware and other parameters such as focus, and for the Sports category: autofocus speeds, focus limiter, and optical stabilization functionality. Updating firmware can be done via the internet. Sigma Photo Pro is available for Mac and PC computers

Sigma Optimization Pro for Windows system requirements:

  • Pentium 4 processor or higher.

  • Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed.

  • 2GB of RAM or higher (3GB or higher recommended.

  • 1GB of free hard disk space.

  • 24-bit graphics card (Approx. 16.7 million colors).

  • 1024x768 or higher screen resolution.

  • USB 2.0 as standard (USB 1.1 or earlier not recommended)

Sigma Optimization Pro system requirements for Mac OS:

  • Intel processor with Mac OS X 10.7 or 10.8 installed (Core2Duo or higher recommended, does not support PowerPC).

  • 2GB of RAM or higher (3GB or higher recommended.

  • 1GB of free hard disk space.

  • 24-bit graphics card (Approx. 16.7 million colors).
